Do not confuse a gift box with parcel protection
If the mailer contains a rigid presentation box, size the protective system around that filled box. Any outer shipping carton requirement is a separate decision.
Corrugated mailer boxes use a folded board structure to pack and present products for delivery. Specify the item, its protection needs and the packing route before selecting the flute, facing paper, fold layout, insert and printed finish.

A mailer is a complete packing system, not just a printed shell. The board, fold geometry, item movement, dividers and closure work together. A lightweight apparel order and a fragile bottle kit need different reviews. The supplied color collection shows a folding format with several exterior colors and a white interior. Its image does not establish board grade or transit performance.
Measure the product after any retail box, wrap or protective accessories are added. Include the space needed for a divider, padding and removal. State length × width × height and units, and distinguish clear internal space from the outside closed dimensions. A flat panel measurement is not the finished internal size. Provide packed weight and any vulnerable parts.
| Decision | Starting direction | Check before approval |
|---|---|---|
| Corrugated board | Flute and facing-paper options selected around the product and delivery needs. | Name the agreed board specification; avoid treating color or thickness alone as a protection rating. |
| Closure | Tuck-front structure, with adhesive or tear features only if specified. | Review flap engagement and packing steps; the pictured format does not demonstrate a tear strip. |
| Insert and dividers | Paper partitions or other reviewed protective components. | Check item movement, contact surfaces and how staff place each component. |
| Inside and outside print | Branded exterior, interior reveal or a simpler print scope. | Compare artwork over folds, print coverage and the actual facing-paper appearance. |

Provide the route and any required drop, compression or other package test. Performance must be checked against the agreed complete package, not inferred from the mockup.
Internal dimensions, flute and facing paper, inside/outside print, die-cut features, dividers, adhesive requirements and quantity affect the quote. Packing accessories and the final carton plan should be compared alongside unit price. Ask which sample and testing steps are included.
No. Send the intended inside and outside artwork. Paper, print coverage and the selected board are confirmed on the sample.
Share dimensions, packed weight, fragile areas and the delivery route. Flute is reviewed with the facing paper, structure and protection; the photo does not specify a grade.
No. List those features explicitly. Tuck closure, adhesive seals and tear-strip constructions have different layouts and packing steps.
That is an intended-use question for the complete packed design. Share the route and test requirements so the board, inserts, closure and any outer protection can be reviewed.
