Chilled display needs a separate brief
State the packing and storage conditions. Condensation, window appearance and paper behavior need review for that use; a clear image does not establish anti-fog performance.
Window cake boxes display the finished cake while it remains packed. Plan the window around the cake position, then review the board fit, decoration clearance, wall structure and opening method as one package. Window size alone does not define a suitable cake box.

Choose the viewing angle before placing the window in the artwork. A front window highlights the cake side; a lid window gives a different view of the top. Frame width and window placement also affect how the carton is assembled and handled. The reference image shows a large viewing area, not a verified load or storage specification.
Measure the full cake board, not just the sponge diameter. Include the highest topper and the widest side decoration. Record length × width × height and units, and identify which dimensions describe the usable box interior. Tell us how the cake enters and leaves the box so that a narrow opening does not scrape the icing.
| Decision | Starting direction | Check before approval |
|---|---|---|
| Viewing window | Front, lid or another reviewed window layout. | Check the visible area against cake position and remaining carton frame. |
| Window material | A clear film direction selected for the stated application. | Agree the material, attachment and any required contact or storage documentation. |
| Board support | A base sized to the complete cake board and filled weight. | Review movement and support using the intended cake or a dimensional load reference. |
| Opening access | Tuck, lift-off or another agreed carton opening. | Simulate loading and removal without contact with delicate decoration. |

Do not remove structural panels just to show more cake. Review the assembled frame and carrying method before fixing the window layout.
Quote the usable dimensions, paperboard, window area and material, attachment, print coverage, base support and quantity. A clear-window carton should be compared with the same filled-product and handling assumptions, including any separate board, liner or bag.
Use the entire board and all decoration. The cake diameter alone omits the board edge, side details and any topper.
Window position and shape can be reviewed against the structure and artwork. Confirm the remaining frame, attachment and intended viewing direction on the sample.
No anti-fog performance is implied by the image. Tell us the temperature and display conditions and request any specific material or performance evidence you need.
State whether the board, liner and carry bag are needed. The quotation should list the packaging components supplied rather than assuming them from a styled image.
