A shared base does not prevent every movement
A loose pastry can slide or touch its neighbor. Review locators with representative serving bases and the actual carrying method.
The pink pastry carton presents several decorated desserts in one arrangement. Different pastries may need different base areas and height clearance, so a piece count alone cannot define the box. Plan how the assortment will be loaded and removed without touching delicate tops or transferring decoration between neighboring pieces.

The starting material direction is Paperboard with optional separators. The handle or opening direction is Tuck or lid-based carton. Branding can use custom brand printing. These choices need to be read together: the illustrated construction sets the product direction, while your packed contents determine the final dimensions and reinforcement. Specify quantity and dimensions for each pastry and any separator requirement.
Measure each serving base and the widest and tallest decoration. Draw the intended layout and identify the gaps or separators. Include the filled assortment weight and state whether the carton will be carried level, chilled or placed inside a paper bag.
| Decision | Starting direction | Check before approval |

| Locators or dividers | A layout suited to the serving bases. | Review movement without pressing on the pastry. |
| Opening format | A lid or flap giving access to the full assortment. | Load and remove the most delicate piece first. |

Work through this design in three steps: Check spacing around the largest decoration. Then review movement without pressing on the pastry. Finally, load and remove the most delicate piece first. Record any revision on the product specification before repeating the check.
The product-specific cost variables are: Carton footprint, board, divider layout, liners or serving bases included in scope, print and surface treatment. Compare these on the same quantity per size and artwork. Identify whether tooling, the physical sample, accessories, assembly and delivery are included as separate line items. A lower unit price with a different handle, insert or print scope is a different specification.
Compare the largest base and decoration of each planned assortment. A common outer carton may use different separators, but each packed layout needs a fit review.
Start with paperboard with optional separators and tuck or lid-based carton. Add the packed product information and the specific choices listed in the comparison table. Specify quantity and dimensions for each pastry and any separator requirement.
